S-au acordat distinctiile American Poker Awards: Daniel Negreanu si Doug Polk nu au primit nimic, Andrew Neeme singurul cu 2 premii castigate
Cea de a 4-a editie Global Poker Index American Poker Awards gazduita de Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood, Los Angeles si prezentata de Pokerstars si-a desemnat azi-noapte castigatorii, distinctiile fiind acordate la 20 de categorii. Daniel Negreanu si Doug Polk, cei care impreuna aveau cele mai multe nominalizari nu au fost recompensati cu nimic, insa probabil scandalul direct in care sunt implicati si dialogurile aprinse purtate in ultima vreme au cantarit decisiv. In schimb au castigat premii Bryn Kenney – titlul de GPI American Player of the Year, Matt Savage – Industry Person of the Year sau Scott Blumstein (WSOP Main Event) pentru performanta anului in poker intr-un turneu. Si simpaticul James Staples a primit o distinctie, orele de munca pe canalul sau de Twitch fiind rasplatite cu titlul de „Poker Streamer of the Year”.
