Cel mai tanar triplu castigator de bratara din istoria WSOP-ului, a terminat pe primul loc in clasamentul GPI pe anul 2017, spaniolul Adrian Mateos reusind sa acumuleze 3504.71 puncte si sa le ia fata americanului Bryn Kenney – 3478.06 si Stephen Chidwick – 3341.89. Mai mult decat atat, spaniolul si-a marit avansul in prima luna din anul 2018, avand acum aproape 400 puncte avans fata de David Peters, cel care a urcat pe locul 2 dupa ce terminase anul trecut pe pozitia a 13-a. In ceea ce priveste ierarhia fetelor, Kristen Bicknell a primit titulatura de GPI Female Player of the Year, in vreme ce americanul Bryn Keeney pe cea de GPI American Player of the Year. Recent despartit de Pokerstars, brazilianul Felipe Ramos pare sa fi fost cel mai bun jucator sud-american, el castigand titulatura de GPI Latin American Player of the Year.
