capca...de la ce ai zis tu la citatul lui e cale lunga
"nu stie de pot odds" fata de "don't really consider myself to be one of those players who analyze the pot odds down to the Nth degree" este ca de la cer la pamant.
Just saying...faptu ca nu calculeaza pot odds pana la ultima zecimala nu inseamna ca e varza

Title: Day 1 Heat 3 Begins
Log: The third Day 1 cattle call for Main Event players is underway. The blinds are $25-$50. Stephanie Ungar, daughter of poker Legend Stu Unger, just said the magic words, "Shuffle up and deal."

Citiva grei care au intrat: Doyle Brunson, Marcel Luske, Ram Vaswani, Mark Seif, Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Andy Bloch, James Woods, Mike Matusow.

            Title: Mouth Breaks the Silence
            Log:

"Floor on 127!" are the first words audible today, over the sounds of the clicking chips. Tournament Directors are called to the very table at which Mike Matusow sits, where he's being accused by a dealer of throwing cards. He's immediately assigned a ten minute penalty, but he adamantly and politely defends himself, and is supported by the rest of the players at the table. He's let off with a warning, but not more than a few seconds later, still steaming from the accusation, he let's the F-word slip. "Now I have to give you a 10 minute penalty," says Tournament Director Louis "You can't say the F-word." "F___ that," says Matusow. "Twenty minutes." "F_____n' great." "Thirty minutes." As Matusow leaves the area, he manages to fire off one more F-Bomb, rounding out his penalty to forty minutes, and starting a small round of applause from a crowd who up until this point, had been quite silent, and is now chatting away. Leave it to Mike "The Mouth" to get people talking.

Log: Howard Lederer picks up a pot after moving all in early in Level 1, and not getting any callers.

            Title: Howard Lederer's Aggressive Start
Log: It's becoming fairly obvious why Howard Lederer wears the Full Tilt hockey jersey to the table. Lederer is using the poker equivilant of the body check, running over his table thus far with an all in, and some big bets. CardPlayer.com reporters have already seen Lederer make bets of $5,000 in chips twice, and Level 1 isn't even over yet.

            Title: A Courteous AJ Kelsall
Log: Following a flop of Q-8-7 rainbow, the player in the #4 seat made it $1,000 to go. AJ Kelsall re-raised to $2,200. Seat #4 called and the turn card was another 8, pairing the board. Kelsall bet out $2,900, which would force the player in seat #4 all in. While waiting for his opponent to fold or call, Kelsall says to him, "I'll show ya if you fold." After hearing this, the player in the #4 seat eventually folded. Kelsall turned over 10-9 and said "I told ya I would show you, but I didn't say it was gonna be good." Kelsall is currently sitting on approximately $17,500 in chips.

Title: Internet Amateur Wins $30,000 Pot
Log: 8 people enter the pot. The flop comes 4-4-2. There's a bet, a call, and then Aaron Nakonechny raises to $1,500. The next player reraises to $4,000, and the next re-raises all-in. Nakonechny calls, all-in, and the $4,000 re-raiser calls as well, for a total of three players all-in. Two players show A-4, while Nakonechny shows 2-2 for a made full house. The turn and river are both blanks, shipping the $30,000 main pot to Nakonechny and chopping the side between the other two all-in players.

            Title: Phil Ivey's Jacks
Log: After a flop of 6-3-2, Seat 7 bets $2,000. Phil Ivey goes into the tank for 3 minutes, and finally calls. The turn is the 9h. Seat 7 fires at the pot again, this time $4,000 in chips, and again Ivey takes a long time to contemplate a call. He does call, and the river brings the 2c. Both players check the river, and they show down. Seat 7 shows A-K for Ace high, and Phil Ivey shows J-J for a pair of jacks. Ivey drags the pot, and now has close to $30,000 in chips.

            Title: Fine Poker
Log: With a flop showing Jh-10h-8c, Mike Matusow bets $300. There is one caller, and another player raises Matusow another $1,000. Matusow comes all-in over the top for $10,525. The caller folds, and after long consideration, so does the raiser. Matusow shows 9c-7c for a made straight, but a hand that is very susceptible to redraws. His opponent tells Matusow he had pocket 8's. Matusow replies "You made a great laydown. I don't know that I could have gotten away from a set there."

            Title: Andy Bloch Heads Home
            Log:

Bloch saw the wrong end of two large hands and was eliminated from today's event. The first hand, which crippled his chip stack, came after seeing a board of 8-7-6-10. Bloch pushed all in and was called by one opponent. Bloch showed pocket 9's, giving him the straight. His opponent showed pocket 10's, giving him a set. The river was a 7, which gave Bloch's opponent the full house. Bloch was able to cover the bet, but his chip stack was severely decimated. Following that hand, an opponent flopped a nut straight against Bloch's two pair. Andy Bloch was eliminated from the Championship event of the 2005 WSOP.

Title: More Words from "The Mouth"
            Log:

With the board showing 10s-5c-4s-9d, the one player left checks, and Mike Matusow bets $1,000. His lone opponent calls. The river is the 7s. The player again checks, and Matusow bets $5,000, putting his opponent all-in to call. The player then takes nearly 5 minutes to make his decision. Matusow tells him to take his time, and that he won't call the clock. Finally, he decides to fold, and Matusow shows J-10 for a pair of tens with a Jack kicker. As he pulls in his chips he says "I bet you're really steaming right now."

            "Actually, no," the player says.

"You couldn't beat a ten and you took that long to decide!?"

            "I had a ten but I couldn't beat that."

"The whole time I'm sitting there, praying for you to fold, and it turns out all along, I wanted you to call!"

Title: Fashion Show or Poker Tournament?
Log: Earlier today there was a young woman dressed totally in a traditional kimono. Following a level break, the same young lady returned wearing a flapper dress circa 1920. Whether she changed outfits for good luck, or simply to get some TV time no one will know. The 1920's flapper attire proved to be unlucky however, as she was just eliminated.

Title: The Truth is Funny Sometimes
Log: John-Robert Bellande limped in on the button and when the small blind folded, the big blind checked and said "My hand is God awful". Bellande started to laugh and said "Sir, I just wanted to let you know you have a tell". The flop came out 9-5-4 and Bellande's opponent checked, as did Bellande. The turn came 10 and it was checked to Bellande, who bet out $500. His opponent folded and Bellande started to laugh saying "I was scared as hell with that flop, after your God awful hand comment...You could have easily had 2 pair with a God awful hand". The whole table broke into laughter.

            Title: It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a flying Corona!
            Log:

An unlucky player in seat 9 at table 83 just got a very big surprise. While sitting at his table peacefully, the player in seat 9 just had an entire tray of drinks dumped on his head when a cocktail waiter tripped and lost his balance. There were approximately 4 opened Corona's, three Cokes and numerous other drinks that are now comfortably resting in that poor gentleman's lap. :haha:

Log: There were five limpers and Kristy Gazes raised in the BB. Ram Vaswani came blistering over the top all in for $11,100 more, and Gazes called. Vaswani shows 10h-8h, and Gazes shows Q-Q. Vaswani was obviously trying to put a move on Gazes and got caught. Gazes' Queens held up, and Ram Vaswani was sent home after getting a big bluff picked off.

              Title: Matusow Again
Log: Always there to provide interesting content for Card Player, Mike Matusow brings us these gems:

With the board showing 9h-7h-7c-Kd-2s, the player in seat #8 (we'd ask his name, but Mike might be tilting a bit right now and we don't want him to overhear) raises all-in for $18,950. Matusow goes into the tank for a bit, coming up for air and to say such things as "You could have had all my chips if you had just checked," and "That was the worst bet of your life." He eventually mucks, claiming to only have a Queen high, while the other players claims to have had nothing better than a busted flush. We don't want to say either player is lying, but we certainly wouldn't let them sell us any beachfront property.

On the very next hand, possibly on tilt, with the board showing 10d-8c-3d, Matusow bets out $800 and is raised all-in. Matusow says "I'm 1000% sure he's on a flush draw but...." and mucks his hand anyway. He's now down to $12,500 in chips.

              Bob Hotchendani $131,000
              Tony Ohagan $114,500
              Anthony Williams $100,000

                      Log:

Phil Ivey and his oponent stare at a flop of Kd-Jd-6d. Ivey's opponent bets out, Ivey raises, his opponent pushes all in, and Ivey calls. His opponent shows 8d-4d (flush), but Ivey shows Ad-3d (the nut flush). Ivey's opponent needs to hit a runner-runner straight flush to win, but fails to catch a miracle. Phil Ivey doubles up to approximately $52,000 in chips.

Log: At table 47, following a flop of Kd-10d-7h, the player in seat #1 pushed all in. The player in seat #3 called, which forced him all in, and Chris Short called as well. Short stood up and called out for the Queen of diamonds. Sure enough, the Queen of diamonds came on the turn, giving the player in seat #3 a broadway straight, but at the same time giving Short the royal flush. Chris Short nearly tripled up to $180,000

Matusow flips up 5-5 for a river straight. Seat 5 shows A-8 for a pair of eights (the lead on the turn). Matusow had tried to bluff the turn, and ended up hitting his gutshot on the river. Title: Sammy Farha Eliminated in an Estimated 316th Place ($21,070)
Log: With the board showing 5-4-4-3 on the turn, Sammy Farha is all in against John Falconeer at ESPN's Featured Table. Farha shows pocket sevens (an overpair and a gut-shot straight draw), but Falconeer has pocket fives (full house). Farha's straight draw is dead, and he now needs to catch one of the last two sevens in the deck to stay alive. The river card is an 8, and Sammy Farha is eliminated from the Championship Event.

Farha finished in approximately 316th place. He will receive $21,070 for his efforts.

                        Title: Juanda is Dented
Log: We at cardplayer, only caught the action on the river of this hand but it was still huge. Paul Darden bet $100,000 on the river of a board showing Ah-10d-6d-2s-9s and after much deliberation, John Juanda called. Darden flipped up 6-6 for a set and Juanda shook his head and mucked. He is now left with roughly $80,000. The pot looked to have had about $60,000-$80,000 in it before the river bet.

The published goal for today was to end up with between 200-400 players. It looks like we'll eclipse that rather easily.

                        Title: Six Women Remaining
Log: They just announced that there are six women left in the field. For some reason, this was met with applause. I guess the spectators were showing their support for those female players who are still playing. With about 280 players left in the field, the women currently represent a little over 2% of the field. That's in line with the head count we took on one of the Day One fields.

Title: Greg Raymer Risks It All Against Tex Barch
Log: After a flop of As-Js-8c, Greg Raymer bets about $80,000, Tex Barch raises to about $220,000, and Raymer pushes all in. Word quickly spreads through the media and the fans that crowd-favorite Greg Raymer is all in, and a swarm quickly descends on the table. Just as quickly as everyone arrives, they soon become as motionless as Raymer himself, who calmly stares back at Barch through his signature reptilian sunglasses.

Barch, however, is in motion. He's adjusting his hat, counting out his chips, looking at Raymer's chips, and studying the defending World Champion as he contemplates whether or not to call. They are close enough in chips that this is a make-it-or-break-it hand for both of them. Looking at Raymer more closely, his breathing is normal, and he is so relaxed, at first glance you wouldn't think he was even involved in the hand.

Nobody calls the clock, even though it seems like an eternity. The break has started, and most of the players are already out of the tournament area. But nobody ever calls the clock.

After four agonizing minutes, Tex Barch folds, and Raymer's supporters (and there are plenty) breathe a huge sigh of relief.
